January:

The Parade of Homes Committee met on January 14^th to start working on the 33^rd annual Parade of Homes.

The Board of Directors and Legislative Committee both met on January 28^th. The BOD Committees each reported to the Board. 

The first General Membership meeting and the newest Board of Directors were introduced on January 14^th at Duck Woods. David Price, NCHBA First Vice-President inducted and swore in the BOD, President David Buchanan and the new members. The Parade of Homes award winners were presented with their plaques.

The NCHBA Region 2 meeting was held on January 30^th at Stripers Bar & Grill in Manteo. Jake Overton, Overton Contracting LLC is the Region 2 Vice-President. This is the first time the Region 2 meeting has been held on the Outer Banks. It was an opportunity for the membership to meet the current 2025 NCHBA Leadership and Executive Committee.

February:

The Parade of Homes Committee met on February 4^th.

February 9^th the annual Super Bowl contest was held. There were two winners who guessed the right team and within the winning margin without going over. The winners were Jonathan Daniels, FullTilt Blinds & Shutters and Jennifer Adam-Falconer with Excel Contracting LLC.

The NCHBA held their first quarter meeting in Greensboro on February 11^th. Many members of the Outer Banks were in attendance.

First Flight High School held their Technical Career Expo on January 20th.

The Board of Directors and Legislative Committee both met on February 25^th. Committee updates were given, and the Legislative Committee discussed the Reverse Raffle for Build-PAC being held May 2^nd.

The OBHBA Family Fun Bowling night was held on February 28^th at OBX Bowling Center. This event was sponsored by Atlantic Elevators. Many families were in attendance, and everyone had a great time. 

March:

The Parade of Homes Committee met on March 6^th. Be on the lookout for the upcoming Parade of Homes information that will be sent to the membership soon.

The 2^nd General Membership meeting was held on March 12^th at Duck Woods. At this meeting new members that attended introduced themselves. And each Committee Chair(s) gave a committee report to the membership. 

The Board of Directors and Legislative Committees met on March 25^th. The Board continued to discuss the business of the Board and Association.  The Legislative Committee reported on the Local, State and National issues affecting the building industry.
