January 14^th. Membership Meeting and new BOD Members installed. Committee Chairs recognized.  End of the Year Awards presented for Associate of the Year: Toni Shalhoup, Builder of the Year: Kim James and President’s Award: Jennifer Adams-Falconer.

January 30^th. NCHBA Region 2 Meeting held for the first time in the Outer Banks.  Jake Overton is the Region 2 Vice President.  The meeting was held at Stripers Bar & Grill in Manteo.

February 11^th.  1^st Quarter Meeting for NCHBA was held in Greensboro.

February 28^th.  Family Fun Bowling Night was held, Sponsor Atlantic Elevators.

March 12^th GMM., The second General Membership Meeting was held at Duck Woods.

April.  Four OBHBA Scholarships were awarded to local seniors for a total of $7000.00.

April 23^rd.  The Spring Golf Tournament was held at Duck Woods.

May 2^nd.  The Reverse Raffle for Build-PAC was held at the Village Beach Club. This was a Cynco de Mayo party.  DJ Mixin Mike provided the tunes.  There was a corn hole tournament and fun things for the kids to do also.  It was a great event & very well attended.

May 6^th-7^th.  NCHBA 2^nd Quarter Meeting and Legislative Conference.

September 15^th.  3^rd Quarter NCHBA Board of Directors Meeting in Charlotte.

September 16^th.  Membership Meeting and Silent Auction for Scholarship was held at Swells’a Brewing Beer Company.  Good food, and great turnout.  Earl Ross was the auctioneer for the evening.

October 9^th-11^th.  The Parade was quite a success, with homes from Currituck to Salvo.

November 5^th.  The NCHBA STARS Awards were held in Raleigh.  The OBHBA had several members who were winners.

November 7^th. Membership Meeting and annual Oyster Roast was held at Cozy Kitchens.  2026 OBHBA Officers & Board of Directors were submitted to the membership for approval, Officers and Board were approved.  Parade of Home awards were handed out.  DJ John Harper provided the music.

November 12^th.  The Fall Golf Tournament was held at The Pointe.

December 4^th.  The annual Christmas/Holiday Party was held at the Kitty Hawk Pier House.  DJ John Harper provided the music.

December 11^th. The 4^th Quarter Meeting for NCHBA was held in Wilmington. 

Dave Stormont, Storm Coast Homes was recognized for his service on the Builders Mutual Board of Directors and outgoing Builders Mutual Board of Directors Chairman. Dave served on the Board for over 20 years. Congratulations Dave!!

Mark with Sandmark Custom Homes was inducted into the NC Housing Hall of Fame!! Mark joins Duke Geraghty, Dave Stormont and Pogie Worsley as inductees in the NC Housing Hall of Fame. Congratulations Mark!!

Jake Overton, Overton Contracting LLC was installed for a second term as the NCHBA Region 2 Vice President.

OBHBA EO Phyllis Hobbs was installed as the NCHBA Vice President for the Executive Officers Council.

• Three Licensed General Contractors Continuing Education classes held at the OBHBA office. 
• Education Class for Electrical Contractors was held at the OBHBA office.
• The Board of Directors & Legislative Committees continued to meet monthly.
• The Parade of Homes Committee continued to meet all year to plan the parade of Homes and the Trade Expo being held March14, 2026.
• BE PRO BE PROUD tactor trailer for middle and high school seniors was at COA, Manteo campus.  This was well attended by the schools.
