COA Electrical Lab Wire Cutting Ceremony

The College of the Albemarle Electrical Lab is complete and the Wire Cutting Ceremony was held January 12th. Classes begin on January 19th.

COA & the OBHBA would like to thank those that made this lab possible: Jonathan St Leger-Jon Boy's Building Services, for providing his crew to build the lab in record time. Joe Gaca & David Whitehurst-Kellogg Supply Co. for donating the materials to build the lab.  Duke Geraghty-Starco Realty & Construction-for heading up the project. Dave Stormont, Matt Neal & Jake Overton for working on this project with COA for over 2 years to bring to completion. And Susan Yan, President & Owner of Surburban Electric & Mark Melton, the General Manager of Surburban Electric who will be teaching the Electrical Class at COA.

(pictures l to r)  Tim Sweeney closed the Ceremony with his thoughts on the journey to make this lab a reality.  COA awarded Honorary Alumni status to Dave Stormont, Jake Overton, Matt Neal & Duke Geraghty for all their work over the past two years on this project. The Wire Cutting Ceremony to officially open the Electrical Lab.
